||Registered Nurse (RN) – Part-time or Full-time
||Shifts: Evenings, Nights. Under the supervision of the Nursing Supervisor, Unit Nurse Manager, and/or Director of Nursing, plans, directs, evaluates and participates in the delivery of patient care in accordance with Hospital policies and procedures. Responsible for overseeing, delegating and providing safe and effective patient care to the adult, geriatric and pediatric population based on the nursing process using assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation. Responsible for providing patient education to patients and families. Relates effectively with other shifts for continuity of care. Communicates with the Health Care Providers, other departments and nursing units to ensure that patient needs are met. Uses critical thinking skills in making decisions regarding patient care. Responsible for professional development in self. Contributes to the professional growth of others.
|Education Level and Experience:
||Minimum of Associate Degree in Nursing. Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the State of Iowa. Basic Life Support (BLS) Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS). Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS). Rhythm Interpretation Class. IV Therapy Training.
|Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
||Knowledge in Nursing Theory and Practice. Ability to assume responsibility and make nursing judgements. Computer Skills; including keyboarding. Legible handwriting, ability to print. Mandatory Reporter.
