Position Summary:
Coordinates, maintains, repairs, and troubleshoots equipment and processes which include but are not limited to production machinery, utilities equipment, electrical systems. Role includes managing on-site welding contractor(s) and all rigging / lifting on site.
Colleague will be primarily responsible for performing skilled work in a specific area of expertise that may require special licenses, trainings and/or certification. Assignments may be to all maintenance area or restricted to a specific area.
This position can coordinate multiple work orders for EMU simultaneously. This position is proficient in performing skilled work in three (3) or more disciplines such as mechanical, electrical, and rigging.
This position will be utilized to support capital project plans as well as maintenance issues and small maintenance projects.
This position has the capability of taking on the lead role of any project.
Position Responsibilities
The essential functions of this position include, but are not limited to:
Customer Services
- Provide maintenance support to location business areas in order to comply with applicable regulations, and improve objects efficiency, focusing on productivity while minimizing downtime.
- Regulatory Compliance & Recordkeeping
- Comply with all the applicable regulations such as: cGMP, OSHA, EPA, approved procedures and Quality and EHS Corporate Standards.
- Document preventive and corrective maintenance activities as per applicable procedures.
Operations Management
- Coordinates emergency work orders as well as planned and unplanned work for a specific area or the location.
- Performs skilled and semi-skilled maintenance activities depending upon area of assignment including performing basic trade activities.
- Perform scheduled preventive, predictive and corrective maintenance activities to plant machinery, equipment, instruments, and facilities infrastructure to increase machine up time.
- Performs troubleshooting and repairs to system controls, machinery, and facilities infrastructure, among others, as applicable.
- Support the creation/modification of Preventive Maintenance Schedules for system controls, machinery, and facilities infrastructure.
- Provide support to capital projects
- Identify and implement improvements
- Expertise to read parts manuals, assembly instructions, troubleshooting guides, hydraulic schematics, pneumatic schematics, and electrical schematics.
- Support RFT, TPM strategies and other change processes assigned
- Performs all duties in a safe manner and keeps all employees aware of dangers in work area. Practices excellent housekeeping in work area.
Education and Experience:
- Associate/Technical Degree in Industrial Mechanic, Electronic, Electrical, Refrigeration, Tool and Die Maker, or Instrumentation
- 8 + years of assignment-related maintenance/equipment experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job as listed in the essential functions or experience in at least 2 operational functions and intermediate knowledge in at least 2 operational functions.
- Trade/ Technical License when applicable by local or federal regulations is required
Technical Skills Requirement:
- Troubleshooting and diagnosing problems
- Reading and understand blueprints, drawings, specifications and technical materials
- Determining solutions
- Making accurate arithmetic calculations.
- Expertise in maintenance on operating equipment, devices and tools
Proficient with diagnostic equipment
- Computer literate
- Language: English: Read (Intermediate); Write and Talk (Basic)
- Excellent troubleshooting, e.g., evaluating symptoms, and determining root causes.

Physical Requirements
- Must be able to walk or stand for long periods of time.
- Must be able to reach above shoulder level, bend/stoop, kneel, push/pull, and handle/grip frequently.
- Must be comfortable working in varying temperatures
- Must be able to work scheduled 40 hours with the ability to work overtime as needed.
- Frequent lifting and carrying of 5 to 25 lbs.
- Regular reaching, bending, stooping, and twisting
- Repetitive motion and substantial movement of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers
- Exposed to variant shifts and extended hours. Subject to stressful environment.
Work Environment:
While performing the duties of this job, the colleague very frequently works in operational environments (Including Utilities and Machine Shop Areas) The noise of these work environments can vary from typical office noises to high (above 85 dBA) machinery noises and high temperatures. Also makes use of computer programs such as CMMS, Intranet portals, and Microsoft office among others.
